LG GD510 ( LG Pop) Versus LG Neon 2 (LG Neon GT365)

LG Pop ( LG GD510)

The LG Pop is a compact full touchscreen handset. This phone has a 3.15 megapixel camera with adjustable light effects and autofocus. It has a 3 inch high resolution WQVGA touchscreen with an onscreen QWERTY keyboard. This phone has Music player and stereo FM radio with RDS. It has Blutooth, enabling the user to enjoy the music using wireless connectivity. The photocall phonebook can hold up to 1000 entries, and you can keep records of up to 20 dialled, received or 20 missed calls. It is a Tri band phone weighing just 87 grams.

Smallest 3 inch touchscreen out there. Operating system is simple and not to much customization is allowed- no apps just a small set of widgets. OK Facebook, Twitter and MySpace funtionality. My biggest problem with the set is no 3.5 mm jack- you have to use micro USB headsets instead. You can buy an adapter. 3 homescreens- first is widget screen second is "livesquare" screen, and the 3rd is contacts. The "Livesquare" screen is strange- its a visual representation of you communication log (voice, email, messnger) that is supposed to make tracking ongoing conversations and communications easier. Seemed easier for me to ignore, but really haven't spent much time trying to understand its functionality.

Music interface is usable, but not great, and videos are played through the file manager. Not very sophisticated. That said, had no problem playing MP4s which look very good on the screen. Controls are easy and intuative. Excellent build quality- solid phone feel.

Conclusion- I guess you'd call it an ultra-compact touch screen feature phone. Good if portability is your primary concern. I load it with an 8gb SD with music and movies when I don't want to carry a smartphone. Also cheap enough that loss or damage of the Pop won't be too upsetting.

LG Neon 2 ( LG Neon GT 365)

Overall the LG Neon is a good value. It is easy to use and will take only two minutes to set-up and start. The sliding keyboard is glorious for better SMS-ing but the keys could be a bit bigger, in my judgment. The USB connection wire is offered as an additional accessory and it'll set you back $30 to $40. The sole touch-sensitive screen feature available is the numeric telephone dialing screen which is expediently accessible from the main interface. Reading and sending email is kind of straightforward if you have an ATT, AOL, Yahoo! Or Windows Live account. The Yellow Pages application might be helpful but I also commend downloading the Google Maps for cell telephones. The Music folder contains limited trial subscription to Music ID and Make UR Tones applications. PAC-MAN and Bubble Bash.

The Bluetooth wireless connectivity supports A2DP technology which can stream audio in stereo to the headset. The threaded messaging displays full talks and not just fragmented replies, while the New Message button is expediently found on the keyboard. I am able to get used to the LG Neon GT365 and for my particular wishes this is a good phone. I am doing assume the voice-dialing should be the standard feature and the USB wire should be included. While recognizing that, I'd suggest this telephone for those that need simplicity and loyalty for e-communication and quality voice calls LG Neon GT365
